Bydgoszcz Airport honored

Bydgoszcz Airport  received a special award during during the XVII Awards Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship Gala. It was awarded for the dynamic development of the Bydgoszcz=Frankfurt Lufthansa route.

“The introduction and systematic development of flights to Frankfurt by the Lufthansa network carrier has brought the region closer to the world, and this brings measurable economic benefits to the region, enhancing its transport accessibility to foreign investors, and supporting the development of inbound tourism to the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodeship. A factor affecting the positive image of the region, which can be used for promotional purposes and influence the chances of its development. ” – justifies the decision of the Chapter.

“The distinction is a huge prestige, but also a stimulus for further action. The airport’s efforts have been appreciated by the provincial authorities but also by residents and business representatives, as evidenced by the development of the connection, “says Tomasz Moraczewski, President of Bydgoszcz Airport Authority.

Lufthansa has been present in the schedule of Bydgoszcz Airport since March 2015 initially offering 4 flights a week. In summer 2016 the frequency has increased to 5 per week. The first increase of the number of flights to the German Air Hub took place in March this year – up to 6 weeks. By the end of October the offer will increase to 7 cruises a week.
