The cruises will start on April 27, 2025 and will be operated every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
The connection will provide travelers from Kujawy and Pomerania with easy access to over 200 destinations around the world thanks to Lufthansa’s international network of connections. Passengers can enjoy quick transfers, including: to New York, Tokyo, Dubai and numerous European metropolises, such as London, Paris and Rome. It is not only an opportunity for quick travel, but also a strategic impulse for the economic development of the region, raising its profile in the country and internationally. Bydgoszcz Airport will be the eighth airport in the country to which Lufthansa will operate.
– We are thrilled to announce the relaunch and comeback of Bydgoszcz in our Lufthansa schedule starting next summer 2025. This expansion marks our 8th Lufthansa destination in Poland and demonstrates our strategy and commitment to further come closer to our customers in this country. Passengers from the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship will enjoy seamless travel options with short drive to Bydgoszcz airport and then via our biggest hub Frankfurt to 200 destinations throughout the world. We expect to welcome both leisure and corporate travelers on board. In summer 2025, Lufthansa Group will offer its customers in Poland up to 360 frequencies per week – in average every half an hour a flight – says Rhonen Azoulay, General Manager Sales Lufthansa Group Poland and Czech Republic.
Thanks to the air connection between Bydgoszcz and Frankfurt, foreign tourists and business representatives will have an even easier time communicating with the region to discover the charms of Kujawy and Pomerania and strengthen economic relations.
– This is very good news, because it opens up practically convenient international air connections to all over the world. This is also good news for the voivodeship government, which is the main shareholder of the Bydgoszcz Airport – emphasizes Marshal Piotr Całbecki. – Soon we will also be able to inform you about additional amenities for passengers related to the cooperation currently being negotiated between Lufthansa and LOT Polish Airlines, which operates connections to Warsaw. It’s about the possibility of flying with Lufthansa with a LOT ticket and vice versa. This makes international calls much easier.
– The return of Lufthansa to our airport is a huge step forward that not only raises the profile of our airport, but also the entire region. This is proof of the growing importance of our airport, confirming that we are becoming an important point on the aviation map of Europe. – says Monika Mejsner-Hermelin, President of the Board of Bydgoszcz Airport. – The connection to Frankfurt is the result of many years of work together with the carrier, so I am extremely proud that we can finally announce it to our travelers.
