Record Holiday Flight Season and Stable Q3 at Bydgoszcz Airport
Date: 25.10.2024

In Q3 2024, 127,337 passengers used Bydgoszcz Airport, marking a growth of over 1% compared to the same period in 2023. However, when comparing the holiday seasons, the increase is much more impressive—up by as much as 49%!
July, August, and September are months when passenger traffic is primarily driven by holiday travels. In this year tour operators offered destination such as Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey and a new route – spanish destination – Mallorca. The record-breaking travel agencies oferts from Bydgoszcz Airport resulted in high traveler interest. In August, the airport achieved its best-ever result in terms of passengers on holiday routes. By the end of September, 83,113 passengers had traveled on holiday flights departing from Bydgoszcz, 27,365 more than in the same period last year. The charter season isn’t over yet, and we expect even higher numbers after the last flight at the end of October. The final summary of summer flights will be announced soon.
The growth in passenger numbers for Q3 2024 would have been even higher if not for the absence of Ryanair’s flights to Dublin in the summer schedule (they are set to resume at Bydgoszcz Airport on October 27), and the reduced frequency of flights to Birmingham. Additionally, technical issues with the fleet led Hungarian carrier Wizz Air to suspend flights to London Luton.
