About Cracow
The first associations with Cracow are usually the Wawel Royal Castle, St. Mary’s Church, the Cloth Hall and the sculpture of the fire-breathing Wawel Dragon. However, Cracow and its surroundings are much more amazing, unique attractions:
- Polish Aviation Museum in Cracow – a treat for flying enthusiasts and an excellent lesson in fascinating history;
- Krakus Mound – the panorama of Cracow looks simply amazing from here;
- Żywe Muzeum Obwarzanka – can there be anything tastier during your stay in Cracow than the famous Cracow “obwarzane” prepared by yourself?
- Planty – it’s safe to say that it’s not so much a park as an open-air museum – an ideal place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the big city;
- Zakrzówek – a delightful place, and now, thanks to a swimming pool with swimming pools, running and cycling routes, it offers a set of sports and recreation attractions;
- The Botanical Garden of the Jagiellonian University – the oldest facility of this type in Poland, with hundreds of species and varieties of plants (including many exotic and rare ones);
- The “Wieliczka” Salt Mine – visiting rock chambers and underground salt lakes will provide you with impressions like in a fascinating adventure film – and all this half an hour away from Cracow;
- Ojcowski National Park – an enclave of untouched nature just just a few kilometers from Cracow;
… and many others!
