Summer Season 2018


The summer season brought changes in the flight schedule at the Bydgoszcz Airport. Flights to London- 11 times a week from Sunday (25/03) are not the only good news for the region.

Flights to Lviv in summer season


Good news for passengers of the Bydgoszcz Port. You can book tickets for flights to Lviv for the summer season 2018. LOT's decision to offer flights on the route Bydgoszcz-Lviv in the next season is the effect of the growing popularity of this connection.

Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Lufthansa and Bydgoszcz Airport tighten cooperation


Today, a letter of intent to promote the educational offer of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region on the Asian markets was signed at the Bydgoszcz Airport. The letter was signed by representatives of Nicolaus Copernicus University, Lufthansa and Bydgoszcz Airport.

London 11 times a week


From April 2018 passengers will have at their disposal additional flights on the  Bydgoszcz-London Luton route. Negotiations conducted by Bydgoszcz Airport resulted in an increased number of flights on this route from 3 to 4 per week. Thus, 11 flights to London per week will be available (7x London Stansted and 4x London Luton), increasing flexibility in travel planning.

Fly to Lviv!


On 4th of august we inaugurated a new, direct air link between from Bydgoszcz to Lviv, helded by  LOT Polish Airlines. The carrier returns to Bydgoszcz airport after several months of absence. The new connection is available every Monday and Friday. Passengers to Lviv will travel on board of Bombardier Dash Q400 with 78 seats. The departure from Bydgoszcz will take place at 3:10 pm and the landing in Lviv at 5:30. Departure from Lviv is scheduled at 01:40 and arrival in Bydgoszcz at 02:20.

Promotional campaign


Promotional campaign at Bydgoszcz Airport - "Light legs in journey"   We have just started new promotional campaign "Light legs in journey", which is organized by Eskulap Hospital and Bydgoszcz Airport. Take care of your legs during the trip, learn how to prevent venous thrombosis and protect your legs from swelling.   Take part in the fun! If you are flying out of Bydgoszcz Airport in the near future, you will need to find 4 floor stickers containing information about promotional campaign with a QR code. You will find them just after passing through security control. Bydgoszcz Airport honored


Bydgoszcz Airport  received a special award during during the XVII Awards Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship Gala. It was awarded for the dynamic development of the Bydgoszcz=Frankfurt Lufthansa route.

Graduation for the Board


The shareholders of Bydgoszcz Airport confirmed the correctness of management and operating  by the Airport Authority. The graduation was received by President of the Board Tomasz Moraczewski and the Supervisory Board of Bydgoszcz Airport.

The shareholders have particularly positively assessed the investments in the Airport in 2016: the expansion of the Terminal, increased comfort and security of passengers, and commercial and marketing activities that resulted in an increase in Lufthansa's offer on the Bydgoszcz-Frankfurt route.

More Lufthansa flights


Lufthansa has decided to increase the number of flights from Bydgoszcz to Frankfurt to 7 flights a week. More flights on this route will be available to passengers as of 29 October, the beginning of the winter season.

Flights Bydgoszcz-Lviv


On August 4. direct flights to Lvov will be launched from Bydgoszcz. The new connection, operated by LOT Polish Airlines, is dedicated to the growing number of tourists, businessmen and students traveling on this route. The flight to Lviv will take only 1h 20 minutes.

Frankfurt 6 times a week in winter


Lufthansa will increase number of flights to Frankfurt for the winter season for up to 6 weekly. From the end of October passengers will be able to travel Lufthansa daily on working days and on Sundays.

New route from Bydgoszcz!


London Luton is the new route which Ryanair will offer from Bydgoszcz. Flights on this route will be held 3 times a week - on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Route will be launched on October 29th. Luton Airport provides convenient road and rail connections both to London and to many cities in central and eastern England.

Larger Lufthansa airplanes


On 17. July Lufthansa will offer travelers additional cruise on the route Bydgoszcz - Frankfurt. Airbus A319 will depart from Bydgoszcz Airport 18:10 (arrival at Frankfurt is planned at 19:40). Additional cruise gives the ability to more efficiently transfer in Frankfurt. Cruise is already available in the reservation system of the carrier.

2016 summary


In entire 2016 Bydgoszcz airport handled more than 337 000 passengers, which represents a slight (1%) decrease compared to 2015. The balanced result was impacted by additional flights Lufthansa on Tuesday, a new connection Bydgoszcz- Rome and consistent increase of Ryanair flights to London Stansted (from 5 to 6 per week in winter).

  On the occasion of the anniversary Bydgoszcz Airport published a unique, richly illustrated book "100 years of aviation in Bydgoszcz".  The monograph "100 years of aviation in Bydgoszcz" is the result of cooperation Bydgoszcz Airport, the Military Aviation Plant No. 2, the AeroClub of Bydgoszcz and Mechanical School Complex No. 1 in Bydgoszcz. At over 400 pages of a book you will find historical photographs and documents, details of the history of sport, military and civil aviation in Bydgoszcz    The publication can be purchased at the ticket counter of Bydgoszcz Airport for 140 PLN and on the auction (plus shipping costs).

From Bydgoszcz to Rome


From 04.27.2017, passengers will again be able to fly from Bydgoszcz Airport toRome. Direct flights to Rome Fiumicino will be operated twice a week: on Mondays and Thursdays. Route will be served by Italian airline- Mistral Air and the time of flight is only 2.5 hours.

Frankfurt- Bydgoszcz 6 times per week!


Frankfurt- Bydgoszcz 6 times per week! Lufthansa announced an increase in the number of connections on the route Frankfurt - Bydgoszcz to 6 per week. From March 30. 2017 passengers will have access to additional flights on Thursday

In the summer 2017 flights schedule Lufthansa will offer additional flight from Frankfurt to Bydgoszcz Airport increasing the number of rotations from this city to 6 per week. Hours of operation will also change. The plane Bombardier CRJ-900 will depart from Frankfurt at 12:30. Landing in Bydgoszcz is scheduled for 14:05. Flight to Frankfurt will depart at 14:45. The aircraft will reach destination at 16:15. The new flight hours will allow more efficient use of transfer possibilities at airport in Frankfurt. "We are proud to further strengthen our position in Bydgoszcz Airport. In the first ten months of 2016 years we recorded a 50% increase in the number of passengers on this route. Lufthansa continues to increase its share among traditional carriers in the regions, which currently stands at 63% (the period from May to October 2016). This means that our services are highly appreciated by passengers also from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie. Poland is an important market for Lufthansa and one of the few European countries in which the offering is constantly increasing"- said Frank Wagner, Country Manager Lufthansa Group Poland. New operational day is a response to the growing needs of business and tourist in region. Frankfurt is one of the biggest European airports, situated in Germany’s second-largest metropolitan region, making it one of the biggest and most important economic regions in Europe. Among many facilities, customers can benefit from 15 Lufthansa lounges – namely the exclusive First Class Terminal, two First Class Lounges, four Senator and seven Business Lounges as well as a Welcome Lounge for arriving passengers. Together, they have a total area of more than 20,000 square metres. Guests can work in peace in detached offices, while free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire lounge. Lufthansa also provides lounge guests with refreshments consisting of a range of drinks and meals, which change on a weekly basis and vary according to the time of day.

Frankfurt 5x per week!!


In winter 2016/2017 Lufthansa has decided to mantain 5 flights to Frankfurt per week. Passenger can already book tickets on and choose flights on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

2 500 000 passenger of Ryanair


Today we checked Jubilee Ryanair's passenger in Bydgoszcz Airport was Szafrańska Hanna, who flew to Birmingham with her husband. Passenger received from the Irish carrier voucher for a return flight in the selected direction, commemorative boarding pass and a set of gifts.

  Ryanair is present in Bydgoszcz 11 years. The first flight took place on 30 October 2005. Boeing 737-8AS took first passengers from Bydgoszcz to London Stansted. Flights to the UK capital are still the most popular in Bydgoszcz Airport. Annually on this route more travels than 100,000 passengers. Due to the increasing popularity of the destination carrier has repeatedly increased the number of flights available per week. From this winter season Rynanair increases the frequency of flights to London Stansted to 6 per week with additional flight on every Thursday, starting November 3.

  Since the beginning of the year to the end of September 2016 Ryanair has served more than 223 600 passengers on routes from Bydgoszcz. Currently Ryanair offers connections from Bydgoszcz to London Stansted, Dublin, Birmingham, Glasgow and Dusseldorf Weeze. The last two destinations will be suspended in the winter season, but will return to summer schedule on March 27, 2017.

New area now open!


Expanded by more than 1,000 m2 departure hall in Bydgoszcz Airport is now open. Passengers will await for their flight in a modern and well-equipped departure hall.  New area can offer restaurant with panoramic view on aprons, duty-free shop, VIP lounge and special playground for the youngest passengers. Expansion of the terminal was part of long-term investment plan, which significantly increased the safety of air operations and raised the comfort of passengers.

  The new surface of the terminal has been designed and equipped according to latest trends in airport planning. It also included suggestions of passengers for each functionality. New surfaces, as well as the airport, are suitable for disabled passengers. New area is connected with old part with escalators and elevator. The terminal uses ecological and energy-efficient LED lighting and a modern air conditioning system. We significantly increased the number of seats. Besides the store or restaurant we also developed a new VIP lounge, which is dedicated to business passengers.

  Reconstruction of the terminal had began in November 2015 and was divided into two stages. The opened part of the terminal today is the end of the second phase of project in which were utilized nearly 750m2. In the first stage, it created an additional 250 m2 of departure hall through the expansion of the terminal building towards the apron. The general contractor for both phases was the company LECH.

Now we fly to Rome!


Today at 15.10 from Bydgoszcz Airport departured  first plane to Rome. On this occasion, Airport prepared for passengers many Italian surprises. The connection carried by the Italian airline Mistral Air is the first destination of this line not only in Bydgoszcz Airport, but also in Poland. Flights from Rome-Bydgoszcz-Rome will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. The journey will last about 2.5 hours, and passengers will travel by Boeing 737-300 with 148 seats on board. The plane from Rome Fiumicino will depart at 11.55. Landing in Bydgoszcz is scheduled for 14:25. The return journey will start at 15:10 and land at the airport Rome-Fiumicino at 17:35. On the occasion of the inaugural flight on the route Bydgoszcz - Rome Airport prepared for assengers and guests many surprises. The terminal was guarded by Roman legionaries, with which one could make a commemorative photo. There were also traditional inaugural cake and Italian treats. The whole was completed with a mini concert of popular Italian hits. All passengers and visitors also submitted their signatures on a special plaque. On the first plane from Rome to Bydgoszcz came authorities of  Mistral Air and invited journalists who for the next 4 days will be exploring the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region. Guests will be visiting the most important attractions of Bydgoszcz and Torun, to be able to encourage readers to travel to Bydgoszcz. This is the first regular connection to Italy in the 100 year history of Bydgoszcz airport. We hope that it will be used, not only by tourists and pilgrims going to Rome but also Italian tourists, who will use a direct connection to visit Kujawsko-Pomorskie. The connection will also be very attractive for entrepreneurs in our region who are linked to the Italian. - Says Tomasz Moraczewski, Chairman of the Board, Bydgoszcz. New Route- Rome!


Mistral Air launches a new service from Rome Fiumicino to the City of Bydgoszcz with fares starting from as low as €42 (PLN185) On April 28, 2016 Mistral Air  announced the launch of a new service from its base airport in Rome, Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Rome to the Port Lotniczy Bydgoszcz Airport.  To celebrate Mistral Air’s new service, the airline is offering one-way fares on the new route for as low as €42 (PLN185) Mistral Air is very excited to launch this new route to the Kujawsko- Pomorskie region said Mark Camilleri, Mistral Air’s Chief Commercial Officer.
